Pharmaceutical services began when the Free Health Clinic started, through special arrangements with area pharmacies for patients to obtain their medicines.
The need for medicines is inherent in health-care services, and a pharmacy facility was created in 1996 when the Clinic moved into its first home.
Today, the Clinic’s on-site Sherman Curry Pharmacy is staffed by a part-time pharmacist and full-time coordinator.
Volunteers provide key clerical roles in pharmacy operations.
Pharmacy shifts are held on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
